As our rally start date rapidly approaches our team preps are complete. Gary and Nev will be off to the West Country this weekend to watch Plymouth vs Norwich City, travelling back Saturday night with enough time to sleep and load the rally car ready for Dover on Sunday afternoon. All your donations so far are really appreciated by the team, thanks for any further donations over the next [...]
4SCOTS Coleman Memorial Match
Last night at the Nest, the 4SCOTS Coleman memorial match between the Sgts and Cpls mess took place. General Lord Rochard Dannatt, Derek Tomkinson, Marty Power Ben Palmer, and I were there to represent F2C at the first match for the Coleman Cup. Chris "Pike" Saddleton was our F2C representative, and he managed to play 8 mins for the Cpls near the end. He had a great chance to [...]
Forces2Canaries 20th Anniversary
Forces2Canaries 20th anniversary this month. Also this month we welcomed our 250th member to our group. At the Millwall (H) game, we will be taking part in the forces parade at halftime. Following the final whistle, 20 F2C members will be celebrating our 20-year anniversary with a meal in the fine city. Looking to the next 20 years, onwards and upwards. [...]
Welcome David Wagner
Welcome to Norwich City football club David Wagner. Onwards and upwards 💛⚽️💚
Ben Kensell Leaves NCFC
Forces2Canaries members were disappointed to hear the news that our NCFC Chief Operating Officer Ben Kensell will be leaving the club shortly. Ben had always been very good to F2C including organising visits to the training ground for terminally ill fans and making phone calls to fans in hospital. While it has been stated the reason for Ben's departure had nothing to do with the BK8 sponsorship, hopefully, lessons will [...]
F2C Player Of The Season 2020-21
Our F2C Player of the Season 2020-21 is Emi Buendia. Lets hope we get a chance to see him play in a City shirt next season. We had a total of 44 votes cast with the final results; Emi 25 Big Grant Hanley 10 Skippy 5 Teemu 1 Mayor 1 Tim K 1 Alex T 1 Thanks to all those that voted
RIP Glenn Roeder
Sad news yesterday that former Norwich City manager had passed away. Glenn was at the helm for 18 months and in his first season helped NCFC avoid relegation. Thoughts are with family and friends. RIP Glenn Roeder.
Lest we forget. We will remember them.
Lest we forget. We will remember them.
Ben Godfrey Leaves For Everton
Ben Godfrey transfer to Everton has been confirmed this morning. The record transfer fee of around £25 million-plus add ons is a great deal all round. Ben is a very talented player who has always given 100% while playing for NCFC. We wish Ben good luck with the next chapter of his football career.
RIP Gordon Bennett
RIP Gordon Bennett - he was well-liked by everyone who knew him and transformed the youth setup at NCFC.

Good to see everyone pre-match and at the stadium today. Another game we should have won. Winter break up next. Then it is the red half of Merseyside at Carrow Road. OTBC.
Preston Away – FA Cup
Preston away in the FA Cup 3rd Saturday and a very rare win for Norwich City. Before Saturday's matches, our club had the worst winless streak in the FA Cup across all 4 divisions! Forces2Canaries members Marty Power, Gary Wenn, Stephen Wenn, Derek Tomkinson, and Nev Townsend pictured with our flag after the final whistle. Another trip to the same part of the country beckons with a 4th round draw [...]
FSA launches The Fans’ Manifesto
From the FSA website. In a little over four weeks millions of football fans will head out to cast their vote in December’s General Election – and the main political parties will be publishing manifestos including policies which could affect football. With that in mind the FSA has pulled together some core campaign ideas and asked all the major political parties whether they support The Fans’ Manifesto. The FSA does not [...]
Duncan Forbes Service
Today we said farewell to Duncan Forbes a true Norwich City legend. The service at Carrow Road was well attended by family NCFC staff and City fans many wearing NCFC scarves. RIP Big Dunc.
Duncan Forbes – Norwich City Legend
A gent and a true NCFC legend on and off the pitch. "6ft 2 eyes of blue Duncan Forbes is after you". RIP Big Dunc.

We are very proud of what Daniel, Stuart, the Players and everyone else at the club has achieved this season. Special mention to our friends at AlongComeNorwich and Barclay End Norwich for there persistence and hard work in helping to enhance the match day experience for fans this season, well done guys. Middlesbrough Away/Wigan Forces game
Few of us will be on the road mid morning for the 1730 Kick Off at the Riverside Stadium. Our first game since the International break 2 weeks ago seems longer. Should be around 1800-2000 fans make the long trip north and most fans will be expecting City to carry on where they finished against Rotherham. So long as we come away with at least a point to edge #ncfc [...]
Latest Update 11
Latest NCFC game reviews Issue 11 Hull home game Good 3 points however we made it closer than it actually was by the end of the game. The second Buendia goal was something else #bootiful. Rotherham away this turned out to be a typical hard fought game away from home in testing conditions. The home side adopted a tactic of if it moved kick it, unfortunately the referee let [...]
Latest F2C Supporter News
Latest NCFC game review Issue 10 Swansea home game was memorable not only for our pitch parade but the absolute screamer from Emi Buendia to give us 3 more valuable points towards the promotion line which is getting closer each week. Some say we played poorly on Friday night, for me however as the bar has risen so high this season the game Friday was good in parts but [...]
Armed Forces Day Carrow Road
Many thanks to Norwich City FC for hosting the Armed Forces Day halftime pitch parade on Friday night. We had a great turnout with over 20 Forces2Canaries members taking part. In addition to our group there were Veterans from various local organisations. Plus a few serving RAF personnel from RAF Marham. Very proud moment to walk around the pitch in front of all the fans. OTBC.

Latest Update 08/19
Latest NCFC game review 8/19 Bristol at home was a classic game of 2 halves Bristol shaded the first half and we dominated the second. For me Bristol were one of the best teams to play at Carrow Road apart from Marley Watkins he is still s@@@. 2 well taken goals by Kenny Mclean which should give Herr Farke a headache when it comes to selecting the side, with [...]
Latest F2C Update – 20/02/2019
Two games up North to catch-up on. The first game was against another ex-City manager Alex Neil and his Preston team, a manager who has some class about him. As has been the case in recent years after a Derby win the midweek game has resulted in defeat. Despite having most of the play particularly in the second half, City suffered only the second loss away from home this season. [...]
NCFC v Ipswich
NCFC head into the Sunday Derby without the services of Timmy Klose and Mo Leitner. However had they been available would they have made the starting lineup.............i very much doubt it. The gap between the two teams has not been this big for a very long time. Many will say it should be a walkover for NCFC and I can agree to some extent. That said these local (45 miles [...]
Good turnout from F2C members pre match Saturday
Good to see all the guys pre match Satuday, even if we did get photo bombed by the local Plod haha. OTBC.
Another away point at WBA
2700 City fans travelled to the Hawthorns on Saturday and I'm sure they expected a tough game. What most fans didn't bank on was a 45 mins where City gave the ball away far too cheaply or pinged the ball in to touch. At half-time it was 1-0 to WBA which was a fair reflection on the half for some fans it was worse as they booed the team off. [...]
Next up at Carrow Road Derby County
City came away from the Boxing Day fixture against Nottingham Forest with only a point when in reality they should have had all 3 points. The ref did his best to anger everyone in the stadium due to his many bizarre decisions, despite this NCFC staged another late late show and the rest is history as they say. We go into the game with Derby County carrying a few injuries. [...]
Next up Blackburn away
We travel to Blackburn in the morning and traffic permitting will meet up in the Fernhurst pub before the game. The game tomorrow is the first of 4 in 11 days for #ncfc . Blackburn have only been beaten once this season at home (losing to Sheff Utd) so expect a tough game against a well drilled team. So my score prediction is 2-2. OTBC. Onwards and Upwards.
Rainbow Laces Weekend
Please show your support on Saturday. https://www.canaries.co.uk/News/2018/november/rainbow-laces-norwich-city-rotherham/
Another away win and another 4 goals
The NCFC bandwagon keeps on rolling and Saturday's win at Swansea was our 6th in a row. Scoring 4 goals for the 3rd game in a row 18 games played and 36 points. Looking good as we head towards the festive period. Did someone mention 25 points #mindthegap. Couple of links for you. First one is the excellent piece on Emi Buendia from Adam Brandon via our friends at Along [...]
On the Buzzer Quiz Carrow Road
Great time had at the NorwichCityCSF On the Buzzer Quiz at Carrow Road last night. 52 teams took part and valuable funds raised towards the #BuildtheNest project. Well done to the CSF team who organised the night superbly. Our Forces2Canaries winning team of Gavin Johnson, Trish Thorpe, Chris Spinks, Nev Townsend and Dave Holdsworth.
17 years of pain wiped out at Hillsborough
At long last the unwanted ghost was laid to rest against Sheff Wed with a thumping win on Saturday. While #ncfc dominated the first half you always felt City could gift the home side a soft goal, thankfully we reached halftime at 0-0. What followed in the second half can only be described as the best 45 mins City have played in a long long time. Total domination resulted in [...]
NCFC Accounts Released
Norwich City released their accounts yesterday. This latest set of accounts run to the 30 June 2018. Cash rich until after the 01 Jan 2019 and a tax bill. Still not too bad set of accounts considering the Premier League parachute payments finished in early 2018. https://www.canaries.co.uk/News/2018/october/norwich-city-annual-accounts/
Unbeaten Run
Thanks to our F2C members who have attended the away games recently, boosting our F2C numbers. We also got to meet members face to face for the first time which is always good. We held our AGM after the Wigan home game and many thanks to all those that attended the meeting. Good night had by all and many talking points as we try and move our group forward. [...]
AGM / Derby Away
Next up for #ncfc is a trip to Derby this evening. Always a tough place to go however I'm confident we can keep this unbeaten run going with a hard fought 1-1 draw. We had our AGM last Saturday at the Eagle pub on Newmarket Road. Good night had by all and plenty of new ideas from those present on the night. The minutes from the meeting and [...]

9th F2C Football match at Carrow Road
This match took place last night on the hallowed turf. A very competitive match from start to finish saw team Alpha run out winners 7-2 at the final whistle. Great night had by all and my thanks to all the players, managers and ref who took part on the night. Our Patron General Lord Richard Dannatt also came along to support the guys...cheers Boss.
Armed Forces Day at Carrow Road Last Saturday
Many thanks to all our members who represented our Supporters Group at the Cardiff match at Carrow Road.
Global Supporters Day at Carrow Road
My thanks to all the F2C members who represented our group on Friday at half-time. I managed to attend a couple of meetings last week as the F2C representative for both meetings. First meeting was the Canaries Trust AGM on Thursday night the other was the Global Supporters Fans Forum before the Fulham game. A summary of Thursday nights Q and A with Steve Stone and Stuart Webber can be [...]
NCFC Academy Bond Issue
This Bond was launched by NCFC last week at a dinner for invited guests. The details of which can be found in the link attached. Forces2Canaries will be applying for a bond, as we think this a good idea and should benefit all parties concerned. However not everyone has £500 to spare, so we are inviting our F2C members and NCFC supporters in general to be part of this. They [...]
Christmas Greetings
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all our members around the globe. Special mention to all our Service personnel who are 0n duty this Christmas and New Year. Thank you for your service and stay safe guys.
Remembrance Sunday Norwich 2017
Great turnout from the Veteran community and also the general public for their support of this special day. Forces2Canaries members Ian Mitton, Gareth Honeywood and Neville Townsend all paying their respects as part of the Remembrance Day Ceremony in Norwich. Not forgetting Mark Boast who was laying wreaths in Thailand at the same time. http://www.edp24.co.uk/news/we-do-not-want-to-make-the-mistakes-of-the-past-veterans-gather-in-norwich-for-remembrance-sunday-1-5275873
We are too good for you
That was the chant from the Wolves fans at the end of the game Tuesday night. Too be fair they were spot on. A team of big, strong, skilful and quick players was far too much for NCFC on the night. Most fans at Carrow Road will be surprised if Wolves don't go up this season. This is in stark contrast to the Old Farm derby at Portaloo Rd on [...]
Angus Gunn and James Maddison Call ups.

Latest NCFC Accounts released
http://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwich-city/the-cost-of-championship-football-norwich-city-accounts-show-loss-of-2-7m-1-5259658 The latest set of accounts for NCFC were released this week. Not many surprises for most fans all be it we paid top wages last season and didn't even make the playoffs. The other head shaker was with wages and pay off Moxey was paid the equivalent of £6,500 per day. Think the phrase rhymes with "Clucking Bell".
Charity Cheque in memory of Steven Taylor
On Saturday before the game against Hull, a cheque on behalf of the personnel at HMS Sultan was presented to the CSF and Big C charities. The money raised was in memory of Forces2Canaries member Steven Taylor, who sadly passed away earlier this year. BZ to all the guys at HMS Sultan.
Meet and Greet
Come and meet us, say hello and find out more about Forces2Canaries. We're holding our latest "meet and greet" this Saturday, from 13.00, before the Bristol City game. We'll be at Carrow Road, just behind the Barclay Stand along with The Canaries Trust, Barclay End Norwich and Proud Canaries, and we look forward to meeting as many of you as possible.

Keep the Faith
"Patience" "Keep the Faith" "Work in Progress" I'm sure most fans echo those words but after the first half Tuesday night some fans will have started to question this. At times in the first half the pace of the game resembled a pre season friendly. Knowing in advance that Burton would "Park the Bus" it would surely be just a matter of time before we scored. Sadly the shots on [...]
F2C Merchandise
We have now taken delivery of another 25 F2C Scarves. Once our new banking account is up and running online, we will then take/confirm orders and get them sent out ASAP. Hi We said an emotional farewell to one of our own Steven "Stal" Taylor on Thursday. Steve's funeral was well attended and the Royal Navy did him proud. Many thanks to all the F2C members who came along and said goodbye to Steve. Calm Seas and Fair Winds. RIP Shipmate.

RIP Shipmate Steve Taylor
F2C member Mark Boast and a close friend of Steve has written the following. At 19:35 on August 7th 2017 Heaven Gained another Angel, but this Angel can fix their Wings and make sure that they are safe to Fly. Leading Aircraft Engineering Technician Steven "Stal" Taylor aged 38 of the ROYAL NAVY, Crossed the Bar as we Say in the Navy ( Passed Away ). Steve spent many [...]
Supporters Meeting at Carrow Road
Last Monday the club invited 20 supporters including F2C, Canaries Trust and Barclay End Norwich to the meeting. Club staff present were Ed Guichard, Charlotte Foster, Tom Smith and Joe Ferrari. The meeting was primarily to discuss ways of enhancing the atmosphere at Carrow Road. Good discussion took place with plenty of new ideas coming from the fans present. Topics covered ranged from WIFI, Banners, Supporter Flags, Catering, Player engagement [...]
AFD 2017
Many thanks to all those who attended our Armed Forces Day BBQ last Saturday. The weather held off thankfully and a good time was had by all.
New NCFC shirt for 2017-2018
New shirt and new sponsor.....................What do we think then ????
Daniel Farke welcome to the fine City
After a season to forget for so many reasons we now have some focus at #ncfc with the arrival of Daniel Farke. We always felt that the Bundesliga was the place to look for a Head Coach, although not many in England had heard of him. The Sporting Director/Head Coach is the norm in that league and seems to work well. Having completed the usual search online about Daniel, he [...]
New Sporting Director and Global Supporters Weekend
Think it is fair too say that the last 12 months have been pretty crap for the club and the supporters. Relegation, 2 CEO'S and one manager departing, poor recruitment and an away form this season that even Wigan can better(so far). The board have taken some stick recently and quite rightly so however they should be applauded for changing the structure and bringing in Stuart Webber as SD. I believe [...]
Ding Dong Alex Neil has gone
Life is never dull supporting #ncfc and today just backed that up. A few hours after giving his normal Friday afternoon press conference Alex Neil was sacked. Granted he should have gone in 2016 but the timing of the announcement on Friday, does not do the under fire board any favours at all. For me the Board, the manager and the players are all to blame for the mess #ncfc [...]
Upturn in NCFC fortunes
NCFC current form is something to behold at the moment. 4 wins 1 draw 1 defeat is the form of a team heading for the top 4. Whether this form can be maintained, only time will tell. Saturday's game saw 5 goals for the home fans to celebrate. 3 of which were from the top draw, the pick of them being the Jonny Howson goal, tremendous Tekkers for that one. [...]
All change at NCFC…..again
After six months at Carrow Road, Jez Moxey has resigned and left the club by mutual consent. There had been whispers this would be the case a few weeks ago, so for some while this was a surprise it wasn't a shock. Jez arrived at #ncfc back in August, with many Wolves fans saying good riddance after 16 years. During his six months at the club, I think it is [...]
Supporters meeting with NCFC last night
Nev Townsend, Mark Boast and Chris Spinks represented F2C at the meeting. 9 supporter groups were present on the night. List of NCFC staff can be found within the official NCFC summary below. Jez Moxey opened the meeting before handing over to Joe Ferrari who had the agenda. Plan was for the meeting to last 90 mins in reality it went on for over 2 hours and could have lasted [...]
Happy New Year
Happy New Year to all our members and followers around the globe from the F2C Committee.
Merry Christmas
Wishing all our members a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. To all our Armed Forces personnel on duty here and overseas during the Christmas period Merry Christmas and "Stay Safe guys"
It’s all gone Seb Bassong
The first half at Oakwell Saturday was up there with the #ncfc shockers of 2016. So it was no surprise when the players and manager were berated at half time by the fans. 1200 fans made the effort to get to the game sadly that effort wasn't reciprocated by many of the players. Second half was much better, well at least the first 25 mins however the damage was done [...]
Five games five defeats
Well done to Martin Olssen on getting sent off in under 120 seconds on Saturday, surely another #ncfc record. Another good away day spoilt by 90 mins of below average football from #ncfc. When you are in the Premier League playing against some of the top sides in the League and Europe, you can understand that you might lose five on the trot. However five defeats in the EFL where [...]
30 mins of madness
After the shock defeat to PNE we all said put it right at Leeds and Brighton and we will be back on track. Well after travelling 700 miles to see these games we are not remotely back on track. The last 30 mins were a horror show the likes of which I hope I never see again. It appears there maybe some unrest in the dressing room (see Paddy Davits piece [...]
Norwich based supporters groups this Saturday before the PNE game
Before this Saturday's home game against PNE the four Norwich based #ncfc supporters groups will be outside the Barclay Stand opposite the Gunn Club entrance between 1330-1445. Representatives from Forces2Canaries, Barclay End Norwich, Proud Canaries and the Canaries Trust will be in attendance, promoting the work we all do within the Norwich City fanbase. Fans are invited to come along and say Hi, chat about what we all do and [...]
Cracking win at Molineux
Well deserved 3 points Saturday against Wolves live on Sky TV. We all hoped for a positive reaction to the Newcastle collapse and that's exactly what the fans got. Nervy final few minutes but hey we are used to that at the moment. Onwards and Upwards....................OTBC.
36 hours after the horror final minutes at St James Park
I have finally got "that" defeat out of my system. After losing and the manner of the defeat to the Red half of Merseyside (it took me weeks to get over that one) last season I don't think many #ncfc fans would have expected to this happen again. However this is NCFC after all and what seems like the impossible occasionally turns into reality before our very eyes. Newcastle away [...]
Four games four wins
After the 3-0 defeat to Birmingham not many would have predicted #ncfc would have gone onto record 4 wins in a row. The pick of them being the 2-0 win at Goodison Park. Respect to those hardy souls who made the long journey up to the North West. Josh Murphy's goal was another cracker to add to the list from the twins, these young guys are clearly a special talent [...]
Two wins six points
6 points from two home games, everyone must be happy with that surely. Well I am but I'm sure there will be some fans that are still moaning that we are not playing like Barcelona (Celtic are quite familiar with their style of play i believe). Our ability to kill off teams as early as possible (we should have been 4-0 up in the first half last night) is still a [...]
Back to the real football at long last
Club football returns today after the two week International break. England managed to come back home with three points from their game against Slovakia, however less said about the performance the better. During the break the transfer window closed with well over one billion pounds being spent on transfers. For City it was a typical/poor/good transfer window depending on your view. Social media has seen many (heated at times) debates [...]
Another Transfer Window Closes
With a week to go before NCFC line up against Cardiff City at Carrow Road and City fans would have been hoping for some new faces in the starting line up come 1500 next Saturday. However as is normal these days with a last day transfer window the only NCFC business was to loan out 3 players to get some first team experience. The arrival of Nelson Oliveira to fill [...]
Forces2Canaries AGM
Date change.................AGM Will now be held on the 24th Sept at 1230 before the Burton Home game.
Another 3 points please
After a great performance and rare away win on the opening day of the season at Ewood Park, the focus now shifts to Carrow Road. First home game of the season and it's live on TV. Unfortunately our record in front of the cameras in recent times is not very good to say the least. I'm sure Alex Neil will have the team setup spot on for this game. Tough [...]

For all our members who may be interested...............
New Season New Hope
So after a disappointing EURO 2016 we finally get back to the real football on Saturday. NCFC travel to Blackburn with no new strikers something we are getting used to these days. I'm sure Alex Neil / Jez Moxey will ensure that number 9 shirt is filled ASAP. So far the Colney staff have welcomed 2 keepers and two midfielders into the setup. Of those Pritchard is the stand out [...]

Finally out of our misery
After what seemed like years we were finally relegated back to the Championship after a entertaining win against Watford on Wednesday night. Even the Barclay tourists found their voice for the first time this season. Too little too late is the old saying and how true that is for NCFC. Had we scored against Aston Villa, Bournemouth, C.Palace, Swansea away and Sunderland at home it would have been a different [...]
AFD at Carrow Road
The only cheer on Saturday at Carrow Road came when the local Armed Forces paraded at half time. My thanks to Paul M, Carl, Dave and Paul B for representing F2C on the day. The match itself was all too familiar. Dominating the first half but unable to score then conceding a penalty, which we never recovered from. 4 extremely tough games remain but somehow we need to win at [...]
Armed Forces Day at Carrow Road this Saturday
Saturdays game at Carrow Road is a nailed on "6 pointer". Win and we go 7 clear of Sunderland, lose and the gap is only 1 point. Tense affair guaranteed come 1245 Saturday plus I'm sure the TV cameras will add a little more to the mix. Score prediction from me is a nervy 2-1 win to City. Carrow Road once a year hosts an Armed Forces Day. This Saturday is [...]
Forces2Canaries new Patron
We are pleased to announce that General Lord Richard Dannatt GCB CBE MC DL has agreed to become our Patron. His military career has been a long and distinguished one, with Chief of the General Staff one his many command roles. At present Richard is Constable of the Tower of London. On Saturday at the Woolpack Inn, Richard and his son Bertie who have Season Tickets at Carrow Rd plus [...]

At last 3 points to celebrate
Travelling to the Midlands on Saturday the main priority was getting a table in the Vine Pub near the ground. Those who have visited the pub will understand why. 3 points on the road had eluded us since that surprising win at Old Trafford on the 19th Dec. You always hope your team can come away with the points but with so many poor performances this season our hopes were [...]

Watford home game date Change
Due to Watford playing in the FA Cup semi final their game with NCFC at Carrow Road will now take place on the 11th May with a 1945 KO.

Breaking news today at 1300. Our efforts (and in particular the #FSF) have not been in vain. By putting pressure on clubs we have arrived at this news. Let's just hope #ncfc can stay in the Premier League. http://fsf.org.uk/assets/Downloads/News/2016/Premier-League-Clubs-announce-new-deal-for-away-fans-09-03-16.pdf
Twenty’sPlenty Campaign
Set out below is the letter from our Canaries Trust that they sent to all the CEO's at Premier League football clubs last week. We at F2C fully support the work the Football Supporters Federation (FSF) does on behalf of fans all over England. The campaign of #Twenty'sPlenty has been going on for some time. Hopefully at the next Premier League meeting we will hear some positive news re away fans [...]
Another defeat
Feel a bit like this today after the 610 mile drive to see #ncfc lose again.
Losing habit continues in 2016
2016 is turning out to be a sparse hunting ground for NCFC points wise. We always knew this would be a tough season but all these defeats still hurt. The latest one last night at Carrow Road. An indifferent first half from the team saw City go into the half time break 2-0 down thanks to poor defending and a visually impaired linesman. Second half was far better but the [...]
F2C Footgolf Competition
Our first Footgolf Competition of 2016 took place this afternoon. Sunny skies and a moderate wind greeted the 11 players who turned up at Eaton Park. The usual piss take and laughter at each others failings made for a good afternoon. Alex Edmonds and Michael Townsend finished as joint winners with a score of 61. Closely followed by Ross Sherwood and Nev Townsend on 62. Many thanks to all those [...]
#justiceformarineA
On Saturday before and during the game we managed to display this flag. The Government and those that presided over his trial should hang their collective heads in shame.
Two games to forget……if only
Bournemouth game was or groups away day and a good time was had by all. Interrupted by 90 mins of poor football by NCFC. AFC were far better than NCFC in all departments on the day. If we want to stay in this league you need to be beating or at least not losing to those around you in this league. Having just got over losing to Liverpool yesterday this [...]
Bournemouth bound
A few members of F2C will be heading to Bournemouth later today for another supporters group away day. The corresponding fixture last season saw City come back with all three points, some more of the same Saturday will be welcome. In December the Norwich City FC PR department put out a statement that they wanted to complete all their transfer business early in the transfer window. Half way through the [...]
9 points from a possible 12
Happy New Year one and all. As far as points returns go over the Christmas and New Year period this has to be up there at the top for NCFC. 3 wins one defeat. The defeat was no surprise as Spurs for me were the best team I have seen City play this season. Old Trafford win was a shock to many but not all "this was coming" being a [...]
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to one and all.
From the Committee of F2C we wish all our members a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. To all our serving members away from home this Christmas on duty. Thanks for your service and stay safe.
Famous win at Old Tafford
After 26 long years we have finally won at Old Trafford. For those of us fortunate to be there on the day, the match and the atmosphere will live long in the memory. Let's just hope it's not another 26 years before we win again. The next 4 games present City with a great chance to add to the 3 points gained at Old Trafford. Spurs on Boxing Day is [...]
Slowly but surely
With support from Parliment and other sections of society, one day the fans will have a say in how football is run....................http://www.publications.parliament.uk/pa/bills/cbill/2015-2016/0050/15050.pdf
Win lose draw
Since running Man City close at the bigger better Etihad Stadium at the end of October, we have seen City gain 4 points. The win against Swansea wasn't pretty by any standards but the points gained were priceless. Chelsea away was another close game but this time one moments lapse in concentration put paid to any points for NCFC. Moving onto Saturdays game, Arsenal were set to be the toughest test so [...]
RBL Annual Poppy Appeal at Carrow Road Saturday
If you are at the game Saturday, please give these guys a massive cheer when they walk out onto the pitch....#veterans #respect http://www.canaries.co.uk/news/article/norwich-city-swansea-city-poppy-2771467.aspx
Keep the Faith
Man City are the next opponents for NCFC this coming Saturday. Not many pundits will be backing the away team to break their worst run of form in Alex Neil's managerial career. Poor defending and the inability to finish when chances present themselves have led to City slipping ever closer to the bottom three. We have nearly 75% of the season still to go so now is not the time [...]
Twenty’s Plenty
Another Alex Neil inspired performance at Upton park last Saturday which produced one point that should in all honesty have been three. Watching NCFC away (since Jan 2015) has become something to look forward to. London away days are always enjoyable. This is at a cost though well over £100 for our lat visit to Upton Park. This Saturday the opposition comes in the form of Leicester City at Carrow Road. [...]
Poor day at the office
South West F2C members Chris and Steve Phillips at the game earlier today. Poor performance from the team and a needless sending off resulted in a 3-0 defeat and a long trip home for some. We move onto the two week International break. This should give Alex Neil time to prepare the team (those that are left) for the visit of the little rich seasiders from Bournemouth in 2 weeks [...]
New F2C Scarf on sale
We have 8 left from our first order. Please contact us if you would like to purchase any.
Good start by City
Three games into the Premier League season and we have 4 points after a loss, win and a draw. Having been to all three games I have to say City played well in all three games and deserved to be on 7 points. This season could be the closest ever between all 20 clubs. To be fair all I hope is that City stay up, judging by what i have [...]
The long wait is nearly over
After the triumphant scenes at Wembley and the celebrations that followed came the long wait till Kick Off on Saturday the 8th of August. Many column inches have been written about how well/poorly we will do in the top league. No one knows for sure how well we will cope but with Alex Neil at the helm most feel comfortable about our chances this coming season. Not many transfers in [...]
Premier League
Yes we are. Fantastic day, performance and result. If Carlsberg did promotions then our's via the play-offs and 1p5wich should be the benchmark. Roll on the 8th August.........................OTBC
8th Annual F2C Football at CR
Thursday night saw many F2C members and friends of F2C play in our 8th match at Carrow Rd. This year was a little different as we played under floodlights. Weather was good, pitch was ok and crowd numbers swelled to nearly 20 by the end. As always playing at CR never loses its appeal and another keenly fought match was narrowly won by the Yellows. As always my thanks to [...]
Wembley here we come
If Carlsberg did football matches I think our game at Carrow Rd Saturday would be the benchmark. Beating that lot down the road and getting to Wembley doesn't get much better if you are a City fan. 1p5wich played their normal (hoofball) game Saturday and while they matched City in the first half they never really threatened John Ruddy in goal. Second half saw City dominate from start to finish [...]
Seconds out round 4
NCFC face 1p5wich for the fourth and final time this season on Saturday. After the 1-1 draw at Portaloo Rd last week, City will need to up their game to finish the job. The one dimensional hoof ball adopted by 1p5wich will need to be snuffed out early on. Carrow Rd was sold out earlier this week and should ensure a noisy welcome to the residents south of the border. [...]
Play Offs it is then
Having failed to gain 3 points against Middlesbrough and Rotherham, City now face the uncertainty of the Play Offs. I personally hope its 1p5wich in the semi final legs and then Middlesbrough in the final at Wembley......................OTBC
AFD at Carrow Road against Boro
Many thanks to Chris, Carl, Ben and Shawn for representing F2C Friday night at Carrow Road. Our guys were there along with personnel from Marham and the Dragoons at Swanton Morley. Good night was had by all apart from the result obviously. On to the match itself................most people had City down for a win before the start of the game. Middlesbrough came with a game plan and it work unfortunately. [...]
6 Cup Finals remaining
Last minute equalizer against Huddersfield, an easy win against Forest followed by a battling win against Brighton, leave city in third place ahead of today's game at Carrow Road. The run in is the closest it has been for many years. Do city have what it takes to secure one of the top two slots, with Alex Neil in charge I think we do. Average points return under Alex Neil [...]
£40 for a Ticket
As the clock counts down to kick off tomorrow some of the pre match hype will be about ticket prices. Derby fans have been bemoaning the price of their tickets Saturday for some time. Yes they are too high, however this is a football problem not just a problem at NCFC. We here at F2C support the campaign #twentyisplenty run by the FSF (Football Supporters Federation). With the latest TV [...]
Mind The Gap
Another derby game and another win. It's becoming a bit of a habit beating the smaller less well off neighbours. After seeing their performance Sunday they will do well to stay in the play offs to be fair. Bradley Johnson continues with his quest to break the back of the net during a game. Once that goal went in the bin dippers knew there would be only one outcome. 10 [...]
7 games into the new Era
On the eve of our trip to Watford I thought it was time to look back on Alex Neil's first seven games in charge. Firstly the stats, 5 wins 1 draw and 1 defeat, not bad at all and as a comparison the same as Neil Adams first seven games in charge. The most pleasing being the 2-0 home win against Wolves. At no stage during that game did Wolves [...]
F2C Away Day at Bournemouth
Cracking weekend in Bournemouth had by all, the 3 points were a welcome bonus as well. F2C members managing to make it on the day were Fred Elferink, Chris Spinks, Nev Townsend, Glyn McAlister and Ben Wright. Hopefully we will do something similar at Brighton away, early in April...............OTBC.
Alex Neil Green and Yellow Army
This time last week many NCFC fans were saying who is Alex Neil. One week later and 3 points from our away game at the League leaders not many are asking that question. While Bournemouth away wasn't up there with City's best performance, it was indeed a gutsy gritty shift from nearly all the players. An away win with ten men (thought C.Foy was harsh when sending Howson off) is [...]
The Neil Adams Experiment ends
Two disastrous away performances have seen Neil Adams fall on his sword. Those that witnessed the performances (and yes I did) will be asking how much were the players playing for the manager, not much by the look of it. The official line from Carrow Road was that Neil agreed to resign after meeting with the board over the weekend. Resigned / pushed or backed into corner, at the end [...]
Two steps forward one step backwards
The defeat yesterday at Reading marked the end of the NCFC Christmas fixtures. Giving us a full house. Win, Loss and a Draw. In years gone by that would have been regarded as a good return. However when you are playing catch up and with the strongest squad (so some believe) 4 points is not good enough. In the cold light of day this squad isn't the best in the [...]
Grant Holt finally says good-bye
Saturday will see Carrow Rd finally get the chance to say thanks and good-bye to Grant Holt. Our old number nine is arguably the best captain/goalscorer fans have seen for many many years. For me Grant Holt is one of three pivotal people responsible for the rise of NCFC from the depths of League One to mid table in the Premiership. The other two being Paul Lambert and David McNally. Those [...]
2 Defeats and 1 Sacking
All in the space of 7 days the fans have started to doubt the wisdom from the board over the Adams appointment. To be fair doubts have been raised long before this. Middlesboro away was by all accounts another shocker to forget about very quickly. Following this no show from the players the Carrow Rd PR department went into overdrive. Players and management staff promising a performance to right the [...]
Five points from four games
Not the points haul most City fans were expecting I guess. Fulham without a manager (at the time) seemed like our best bet to break the Fulham away hoodoo. However it was the same old story at Craven Cottage, promised so much but in the end nil points. Leeds at home I'm told ( I was away in Gibraltar for a few days so missed the game) was a poor [...]
NCFC Ticketing review meeting at Carrow Road
This meeting was held on Wednesday evening. Chris Spinks was the only representative from the 3 locally based supporter groups. His feedback from the meeting follows, many thanks Chris..... Season Ticket Renewals - Currently stands at 22,000, with around 15,000 on the interest free direct debit scheme - whilst this means that the club doesn't get its money up front they accept that if people had to pay [...]
Ex Matelots celebrate Trafalgar Day at Rosia Bay Gibraltar
What better place to mark Trafalgar Day (21st Oct), than the very spot Lord Nelson's body was brought ashore after the battle of Trafalgar. So after a full healthy ish breakfast the guys set of for Rosia Bay, while the ladies went shopping and drinking. Much later we found out that more drinking took place than shopping, not sure which is the cheapest. On arrival at Rosia Bay we were a little [...]
F2C at the Top of the Rock
Members of F2C visited Gibraltar this week to celebrate Trafalgar day, have a few beers in one of our old stomping grounds and also to give our better halves a mini break away. After arriving on Sunday first up was a tour of the finer establishments that Gibraltar has to offer with only a few sore heads the next morning. So on to Monday and we all set off for [...]
International Breaks Love them or Hate them
For me it's hate them. The England qualifying group is about as appealing as a free ticket to Portman Road. In all honesty England are at best a top 20 team......just. Crowds at Wembley back this up, so the FA plan to take International games on the road from 2017 makes sense. Moving onto the football that REALLY matters and NCFC. The last 3 results have seen, one win, one [...]
Adam Drury…………………..City Legend
This week saw a City legend retire at the tender age of 36. I don't throw the word "Legend" about very often but in the case of Mr Adam Drury it is wholly appropriate. When he signed him from Peterborough for a paltry (these days) £500,000 who knew the impact he would have on the club. One of my favorite memories of Adam Drury was the last game away game of the [...]
Shrewsbury shocker
Our 400 mile round trip on Tuesday night, will be remembered as another new ground to add to the list and little else. We looked forward to seeing the B team play and for some to stake a claim to a first team place. How wrong we were, as only Johnny Howson came out of this no show with any credit. 992 travelling City fans trudged out at the end [...]
Global Canaries Weekend Birmingham home game
At half time Saturday we took part in the pitch parade of all the supporters groups and their flags. Our reps for the day with the F2C flag were Nev Townsend, Rob Stephens Paul Myhill Rick Woods and Mark Boast. Many thanks to all the guys.
Supporters meeting at Carrow Rd 19/09/14
Invited members from all official supporters groups attended the meeting on Friday. Around 40 fan representatives attended the meeting with club representatives David McNally, Chris Bailey, Joe Ferrari Romily Broad, Danny Casey and Steve Balmer-Walters. The following is a brief overview of the presentation that David McNally gave at the start of the meeting. The clubs priority is promotion and nothing else. The club banned the word relegation and concentrate [...]
4 points from the last 2 games
Brentford on a Tuesday night is not that appealing to be fair. However if you throw in a couple of beers with the Chelmsford Canaries (Essex Canaries to some) at Waterloo station, and a terrace ticket at Brentford to watch City play. This then becomes a lot more attractive journey. Over 1600 canary fans crammed into the away end. 1000 in the terrace and 600 seated above. The first half [...]
Away win in Wales, next up Brentford
First game this season that I didn't go to and guess what, it was a cracker so I'm told. Well it was from 45 mins onwards if you are a City fan. Cardiff last season we dominated from start to finish but lost. This time with 25 shots at goal and 4 goals it appears that the Neil Adams style of play is producing the goods.....so far. After the turgid [...]
Next up at Carrow Road.
AFC Bournemouth are the latest visitors to Fortress Carrow Road this afternoon. Under the stewardship of Eddie Howe his team will make it tough for Neil Adams side today. Norwich need to keep this unbeaten run at Carrow Road going after 2 good performances against league opposition and a workmanlike performance against Crawley on Tuesday night. Prediction today................2-1 City. OTBC.
Four new signings
New faces in at Colney totalled four over the past 10 days. Most recent addition being midfielder Vadis Odidja-Ofoe from Club Brugge who followed another midfielder from Falkirk by the name of Conor McGrandles. Vadis joins city with plenty of experience behind him while at 18 Conor McGrandles is younger than the Murphy twins. Cameron Jerome and Carlos Cuellar are the other two additions to NCFC championship squad. It remains to [...]
Four games 9 points
If offered that at the start of the season, most people would have taken that tally gladly. What makes it even more satisfying is the opposition of Watford, Blackburn and least of all 1p5wich (more on them later) were meant to be tough games. The fact City ran out comfortable winners in two of those games and controlled the third, with only a one goal lead speaks volumes. Moving onto [...]
Watford at Carrow Rd Saturday
With the championship season well underway Norwich City host Watford in their second league game. Fans will be looking for an improvement on last Sunday's live Sky match at Wolves. That was certainly one to forget and fell into the "Bad day at the office" bracket. The travelling faithful had hoped for three points and a good attacking performance. However one sending off, conceding a goal shortly after that and [...]
Early Pre Season Friendly Results
Saturday saw Norwich City take on Dereham Town in front of 2000 odd fans. Dereham gave a good account of themselves apparently and only lost to an easy tap in by Kyle Lafferty. Last night it was the turn of Braintree Town to face Norwich City. Boosted by many fans from the Chelmsford area this ensured it was another good turnout from the travelling City fans in a crowd of [...]
Parks in….Royle out
Tony Parks joins Norwich City from Spurs to fill the vacant Goalkeeping coach role. Tony is a well respected coach in the game and will be a good addition to the staff at Colney. Going out of Carrow Rd is Joe Royle, who after 6 weeks received an offer from Everton "which he couldn't turn down". I'm sure the blue brigade over the border will be having a laugh at [...]
Ricky Martin Appointed Technical Director
Norwich City Technical Director role was finally filled last week and it came as no surprise that Ricky Martin will fill this role. Ricky steps up from Acadamy manager with Gregg Broughton filling the role vacated by Ricky. The backroom staff roles at the training ground are slowly taking shape in this new look management structure.
Old Farm Derby date switched again for Sky TV
The first meeting between Norwich City and Ipswich Town since 2011 has been moved to Saturday 23rd Aug with a 12:15 kick off and will be shown live on Sky Sports. With pressure mounting from F2C and respective supporter trusts of Norwich City and Ipswich Town the correct decision has been made. A joint statement from the two supporters trusts urges the clubs and the police to engage with supporters [...]
Fans anger at Portman Rd date and time
Both supporter trusts of NCFC and ITFC have issued statements with regards to the "Old Farm Derby" in August. The statements from both supporter trusts are below. F2C agrees 100% with these statements. This decision by Suffolk Police shows total disregard to both sets of fans. As stated Suffolk Police do struggle on match days when policing high profile games. It appears that SP have not and refuse to learn [...]
Derby dates and times with Ipswich Town confirmed
NCFC confirmed the dates and times for our hugely anticipated return of hostilities with the ITFC. As expected the first encounter in Suffolk has been moved to Sunday August the 24th with a 1200 KO. This is also the date of major engineering works to be carried out by Network Rail. This will leave the journey for fans by either coach or car. In stark contrast to this the return [...]
Robert Snodgrass signs for Hull City
Snoddy who was the fans player of the season in the Premiership has finally put pen to paper and signed for Hull City. Strong rumours circulated all last week so it came as no surprise when it was announced yesterday. Neil Adams confirmed today it was all down to the money that Hull were offering for Robert Snodgrass. Opinion seems divided (as usual) on how much City will miss the [...]
City Announce Lafferty Signing
City announce that Kyle Lafferty will be joining the club on July 1st for an undisclosed fee. The former Burnley and Rangers striker will join the canaries in the championship and becomes the second striker to join the team after City signed Lewis Grabban. Lafferty is quoted on the Norwich City website as saying "“Norwich is a team that wants to get promoted back to the Premier League at the [...]
Armed Forces Day 28th June 2014
The build up starts this Monday. Many lead up events will take place this week around the country, culminating with AFD itself on the 28th June. Biggest event locally i believe is being held in Lowestoft. Show your support whatever way you can and have a good day.
Cricket Match10 Aug
Due to NCFC playing away at Wolves on the 10 Aug our F2C cricket match against Norwich Bystanders has been cancelled. We had 11 players ready to play however we will try and re arrange this if possible.
Wolves away on Sky
The fixture computer has NCFC away at Wolverhampton Wanderers on the 10th Aug live on Sky at 1600. Trips to Rotherham, Millwall, Brentford and Bournemouth are in stark contrast to last seasons fixture list. The chance to lock horns with 1p5wich town comes around very quickly. 23 Aug will see the yellow army back in Suffolk and maybe another 5-1 thrashing of the poor neighbours hopefully. The final game of [...]
Pre Season Fixtures announced
Norwich City pre season will see them start at Dereham Town and finish against Celta Vigo at Carrow Rd. In the middle of those two fixtures will be an 8 day trip to Italy July 12 v Dereham Town 1500 ko Aldiss Park July 15 v Braintree Town 1945 ko Amlin Staduim July 20 v Novara ko TBC Stadio Comunale Silivio Piola July 23 v Samdoria ko TBC Chatillon/Saint [...]
Annual Football Match at Carrow Road
Our annual football match took place on the 31 May 2014. Weather was overcast during the game, which helped to keep the temperatures down for the less fit amongst us. Attendance figures were unconfirmed at 37, a record for F2C. The yellows ran out winners 6-3 in a closely fought match. Our thanks go to Jennings Bet for providing us with sponsorship on the day. Also to Dan Woods for [...]
Gary Holt returns home
Three lungs returns to Carrow Rd on the coaching staff for next season. Gary last played for NCFC 10 years ago. His coaching style will hopefully bring some much need discipline and desire back into the heart of the players.
Lewis Grabban joins from AFC Bournemouth
We welcome Lewis Grabbon to the club and wish him a long and successful time at NCFC. Lewis is Neil Adams first signing of many hopefully before the start of the season on AUG 9TH.
