Forces2Canaries 20th anniversary this month. Also this month we welcomed our 250th member to our group. At the Millwall (H) game, we will be taking part in the forces parade at halftime. Sad news yesterday that former Norwich City manager had passed away. Glenn was at the helm for 18 months and in his first season helped NCFC avoid relegation. Thoughts are with family and friends. RIP Glenn Roeder.

Ben Godfrey transfer to Everton has been confirmed this morning. The record transfer fee of around £25 million-plus add ons is a great deal all round. Ben is a very talented player who has always given 100% while playing for NCFC. We wish Ben good luck with the next chapter of his football career.

RIP Gordon Bennett - he was well-liked by everyone who knew him and transformed the youth setup at NCFC.

Today we said farewell to Duncan Forbes a true Norwich City legend. The service at Carrow Road was well attended by family NCFC staff and City fans many wearing NCFC scarves. RIP Big Dunc.

Many thanks to Norwich City FC for hosting the Armed Forces Day halftime pitch parade on Friday night. We had a great turnout with over 20 Forces2Canaries members taking part. In addition to our group there were Veterans from various local organisations. Plus a few serving RAF personnel from RAF Marham. Very proud moment to walk around the pitch in front of all the fans. As has been the case in recent years after a Derby win the midweek game has resulted in defeat. 2700 City fans travelled to the Hawthorns on Saturday and I'm sure they expected a tough game. What most fans didn't bank on was a 45 mins where City gave the ball away far too cheaply or pinged the ball in to touch. At half-time it was 1-0 to WBA which was a fair reflection on the half for some fans it was worse as they booed the team off. [...]

City came away from the Boxing Day fixture against Nottingham Forest with only a point when in reality they should have had all 3 points. The ref did his best to anger everyone in the stadium due to his many bizarre decisions, despite this NCFC staged another late late show and the rest is history as they say. We travel to Blackburn in the morning and traffic permitting will meet up in the Fernhurst pub before the game. The game tomorrow is the first of 4 in 11 days for #ncfc . Great time had at the NorwichCityCSF On the Buzzer Quiz at Carrow Road last night. 52 teams took part and valuable funds raised towards the #BuildtheNest project. Well done to the CSF team who organised the night superbly. Our Forces2Canaries winning team of Gavin Johnson, Trish Thorpe, Chris Spinks, Nev Townsend and Dave Holdsworth.

At long last the unwanted ghost  was laid to rest against Sheff Wed with a thumping win on Saturday. On Thursday our Chairman Neville Townsend had the pleasure of being at the official Nest launch along with 150 other invited guests. Louis Thomson and Jake Humphrey officially opened the Nest. This is a fantastic project which has just about finished Phase one and Phase two will begin once the funding target has been reached. This match took place last night on the hallowed turf. A very competitive match from start to finish saw team Alpha run out winners 7-2 at the final whistle. Great night had by all and my thanks to all the players, managers and ref who took part on the night. Our Patron General Lord Richard Dannatt also came along to support the guys...cheers Boss.

Not many surprises for most fans all be it we paid top wages last season and didn't even make the playoffs. The other head shaker was with wages and pay off Moxey was paid the equivalent of £6,500 per day. Think the phrase rhymes with "Clucking Bell".

On Saturday before the game against Hull, a cheque on behalf of the personnel at HMS Sultan was presented to the CSF and Big C charities. The money raised was in memory of Forces2Canaries  member Steven Taylor, who sadly passed away earlier this year. BZ to all the guys at HMS Sultan.

Hi We said an emotional farewell to one of our own Steven "Stal" Taylor on Thursday. Steve's funeral was well attended and the Royal Navy did him proud. Many thanks to all the F2C members who came along and said goodbye to Steve.  Calm Seas and Fair Winds. RIP Shipmate.

Last Monday the club invited 20 supporters including F2C, Canaries Trust and Barclay End Norwich to the meeting. Club staff present were Ed Guichard, Charlotte Foster, Tom Smith and Joe Ferrari. Relegation, 2 CEO'S and one manager departing, poor recruitment and an away form this season that even Wigan can better(so far). Life is never dull supporting #ncfc and today just backed that up. A few hours after giving his normal Friday afternoon press conference Alex Neil was sacked. Granted he should have gone in 2016 but the timing of the announcement on Friday, does not do the under fire board any favours at all. After six months at Carrow Road, Jez Moxey has resigned and left the club by mutual consent. The first half at Oakwell Saturday was up there with the #ncfc shockers of 2016. So it was no surprise when the players and manager were berated at half time by the fans. 1200 fans made the effort to get to the game sadly that effort wasn't reciprocated by many of the players. I have finally got "that" defeat out of my system. After losing and the manner of the defeat to the Red half of Merseyside (it took me weeks to get over that one) last season I don't think many #ncfc fans would have expected to this happen again. Club football returns today after the two week International break. England managed to come back home with three points from their game against Slovakia, however less said about the performance the better. During the break the transfer window closed with well over one billion pounds being spent on transfers. For City it was a typical/poor/good transfer window depending on your view. Our first Footgolf Competition of 2016 took place this afternoon. Sunny skies and a moderate wind greeted the 11 players who turned up at Eaton Park. This week saw a City legend retire at the tender age of 36. I don't throw the word "Legend" about very often but in the case of Mr Adam Drury it is wholly appropriate. New faces in at Colney totalled four over the past 10 days. Most recent addition being  midfielder Vadis Odidja-Ofoe from Club Brugge who followed another midfielder from Falkirk by the name of Conor McGrandles. Vadis joins city with plenty of experience behind him while at 18 Conor McGrandles is younger than the Murphy twins. Norwich City Technical Director role was finally filled last week and it came as no surprise that Ricky Martin will fill this role. Ricky steps up from Acadamy manager with Gregg Broughton filling the role vacated by Ricky. The backroom staff roles at the training ground are slowly taking shape in this new look management structure.

The first meeting between Norwich City and Ipswich Town since 2011 has been moved to Saturday 23rd Aug with a 12:15 kick off and will be shown live on Sky Sports. With pressure mounting from F2C and respective supporter trusts of Norwich City and Ipswich Town  the correct decision has been made.
