RIP Shipmate Steve Taylor
F2C member Mark Boast and a close friend of Steve has written the following.
At 19:35 on August 7th 2017 Heaven Gained another Angel, but this Angel can fix their Wings and make sure that they are safe to Fly. Leading Aircraft Engineering Technician Steven “Stal” Taylor aged 38 of the ROYAL NAVY, Crossed the Bar as we Say in the Navy ( Passed Away ).
Steve spent many years based at RNAS Culdrose in Cornwall. This involved a lot of travelling to get back to Norwich to see his family and friends, plus the chance to watch NCFC play at Carrow Road.
Steve was a Season Ticket Holder for Over 10 years, having a Seat in the Upper Barclay D Block. After Home games we always had to do the Match Programme Quiz usually in the Jubilee Pub. Steve also enjoyed Away Games meeting up with Fellow Forces2Canaries Friends.
Steve was a Great believer in helping Charities and would always donate at every Charity Day held at The Brickmakers Pub on Sprowston Road even if he was not at home for the Actual Charity Day, Comically being called “Army Steve” when he first donated, but we soon put them right on him being part of the Senior Service.
This World we live in can be a Cruel Mistress & Cancer is the Worst Bitch of them all.
Fair Winds and Calm Seas Mate. RIP Steven “Stal” Taylor. OTBC
