Saturday will see Carrow Rd finally get the chance to say thanks and good-bye to Grant Holt. Our old number nine is arguably the best captain/goalscorer fans have seen for many many years. For me Grant Holt is one of three pivotal people responsible for the rise of NCFC from the depths of League One to mid table in the Premiership. The other two being Paul Lambert and David McNally. Those three seasons for me were the best I have witnessed in 45 years. The ideal scenario for me on Saturday would be for Grant to score and City to win 3-1. However I wont be putting any money on it, my track record is poor to say the least. One thing is for certain the Carrow Rd faithful will give him the ovation he richly deserves.

The last 3 games have seen only 4 points from a possible 9, below the 2 points a game average that we are looking for to gain promotion. The appointment of Mike Phelan as coach will help get the team back on track, lets hope so as too many points have been dropped so far.

The FA Cup draw saw NCFC drawn away to Preston. 530 mile round trip awaits those of us who will be going. Is it too much to ask for a Cup run ????. Roll on the 03 Jan……………………..OTBC.
